Which colour for which wedding day

Red and maroon with gold, antique gold or copper work remain the classic baraat colours. Ivory, white and off-white with silver or rose gold suit the nikkah. For the walima or a reception, blues such as ice blue, powder blue or navy, and soft pinks, give the day its own look, while gold with ivory, pink or plum accents sits between the two: see our gold bridal lehengas. For the mehndi, yellows and greens lead, in our mehndi lehenga range.

Silhouette, fabric and handwork

A choli shows the whole skirt; a kurti, a long shirt or a peshwas worn over the lehenga covers more of it. Skirts are panelled from kalis, the tapering panels that create the flare, or cut as a full circle, and a cancan layer can hold them out. For a skirt that sweeps the floor and can end in a trail, see the farshi lehenga page. Bases include tissue silk, organza, net, velvet and jamawar, worked in dabka, zari, nakshi, salma sitara, kora, sequins and pearls.

Delivery throughout France

Each option is counted in calendar days, starting the day after you order, and covers both the stitching and the courier:

  • Normal Delivery: up to 3 months, free
  • Rush Delivery: up to 30 calendar days, €59
  • Super Rush Delivery: up to 14 calendar days, €199

After you order, our team contacts you for your measurements, or you can choose a standard size from our size guide, taking the larger size if you are between two. Import charges are normally prepaid by us; if a courier ever asks you for customs, duty or tax, send us the receipt and we refund the verified amount.

Bridal lehenga questions

What decides the price?

Prices are shown in euros on every design. The cut, the fabric and how much handwork it carries decide it, and any change that adds fabric, embroidery or labour is priced and agreed before work starts. Rush Delivery (€59) and Super Rush Delivery (€199) are extras you add only for a closer date; Normal Delivery is free.

Can I change the colour of a design?

Usually, if the fabric and the embroidery can take the change. Every bridal design can be ordered as Full Custom Design, so you can ask for another colour, a different embroidery shade, longer sleeves or a higher neckline before you order. Changes that add fabric, embroidery or labour are priced and agreed with you before work starts, so you know the final cost first.

Can I check the work before dispatch?

Yes. Ask us on WhatsApp for progress photos and close-up videos while it is being made, so you can check the colour and the work before it leaves our workshop. Pale shades and metallic thread look different on every screen, so video of the real fabric is the surest guide.
