Baraat Lehenga for the Bride

A Baraat (Barat) lehenga from Shadi Dress is embroidered in our own workshops and stitched only after you order, in a standard size or to the measurements you send, then couriered from Pakistan to your address in France. Baraat lehengas can take the form of a lehenga choli, a farshi lehenga with a longer shirt, or a lehenga worn under a pishwas or open gown; use the product grid for the exact designs available now. For deep shades, browse our red and maroon bridal lehengas collection.

Three Baraat lehenga silhouettes

As a lehenga choli, the skirt is cut from 12 or 14 kalis and held out by a cancan, under a fitted choli that can be short or floor-length; there is no trail to manage. As a farshi lehenga, a longer shirt sits over a circular skirt that lies on the floor and often ends in a trail. Under a pishwas or an open gown, the lehenga shows at the front opening or the hem and the outfit creates one long line.

Colour, fabric and embroidery

Classic Baraat colours include maroon, deep red and red with gold work, with burgundy, wine and rust as close relatives; lighter directions include ivory, gold, silver, baby pink and ice blue. Baraat bridal embroidery can combine dabka, zari, nakshi, kora and salma sitara with sequins and pearls, while some designs also use zardozi, cutdana or gota. Fabrics used across Baraat bridal designs include tissue silk, American katan silk, organza and jamawar for skirts; organza, tissue silk, net and velvet for tops; and organza, chiffon or masuri for dupattas.

Size, changes and delivery to France

Our workshop measures in inches and our size guide also shows centimetres. Choose a standard size from XS to XL, the larger one if you are between two, or Custom Size, stitched exactly to the measurements you send; our team contacts you after you order to confirm them. Ask for another colour, sleeve, neckline, length or flare if you wish: anything that adds fabric, embroidery or labour is priced and agreed before work starts, and progress photos and close-up videos are available on request.

Delivery times are in calendar days from the day after you order and include stitching and shipping:

  • Normal Delivery: up to 3 months, free
  • Rush Delivery: up to 30 calendar days, €59
  • Super Rush Delivery: up to 14 calendar days, €199

Import charges are normally prepaid by us; if a courier ever asks you for customs, duty or tax, send us the receipt and we refund the verified amount. A bridal order cancelled within 24 hours is refunded in full; later, before dispatch, 35% of the amount paid is deducted.
